Ezequiel Mercurio

Ezequiel Mercurio is an Argentinian forensic psychiatrist with a master’s degree in criminology and forensic science. He is the head of the Department of Forensic Psychiatry at the Public Defender's Office in Argentina. He has worked in the field of neurolaw since 2007 and has been involved in two cases before the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Medina Vela v. Mexico and Cardoso Subia v. Argentina). He lectures and teaches in various countries across Latin America and is the author of numerous papers, books, and chapters on forensic psychiatry, neurolaw, and human rights. He also serves as the secretary at the Interdisciplinary Research Forensic Center at the Buenos Aires National Academy of Science.
